Also on the list of winners are Maria Lima de Menezes Antunes (Huíla), who won the 'Health' category, and Luísa João Mendonça (Luanda), who took home the prize in the 'Overcoming' category.

On the occasion, Fineza Teta reported that in the current edition, "nine candidates were selected from the 14 categories provided, with emphasis on Cuanza Sul, which had the largest number of entries (65), followed by Huambo (58) and Lunda Norte (26)".

However, some provinces, such as Cabinda, Zaire, Uíge, Benguela and Cunene, did not have representatives in this edition, the note also states.

Five award categories were left without winners as none of the candidates met the criteria. "According to the president of the jury, Fineza Teta, the categories of 'Social Communication', 'Science and Technology', 'Sports', 'Innovation' and 'Tourism' had no winners, as none of the registered candidates met the established criteria", says the statement.

This award, according to the Ministry, is an "initiative that aims to value and recognize the role of women in the country's progress, highlighting their contributions in various areas", and that "with this award, the Executive reinforces the importance of female participation in the social and economic development of Angola".
