"With the start of operations of this manufacturing unit, 400 young people will gain direct employment," said the provincial government of Benguela, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
It was up to the municipal administrator of Catumbela, José Francisco Ferreira, to inaugurate the factory.
"The infrastructure, inaugurated by the municipal administrator of Catumbela, José Francisco Ferreira, in an act witnessed by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Angola, Neem Ullah Khan, is located in the area of the Catumbela Industrial Development Hub, and also has a multifunctional space, including two production facilities, operating 24 hours a day", reads the note.
At the time, the administrator said that the start of operations of this new manufacturing unit was "a great gain", "as it could contribute to the economic growth of the country, the province and the municipality in particular".
The executive "also showed total openness to continue working with private partners who intend to invest in the municipality in various areas."
