According to a statement from the government of the province of Luanda, to which VerAngola had access, the Academia do Empreendedor de Luanda is participating in the event "as a reference institution in supporting startups and promoting technology-based entrepreneurship, in search of new solutions and partnerships to improve the startup environment and, equally, boost the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the province of Luanda".

The delegation held a meeting last Sunday with the Angolan ambassador to Qatar.

"The delegation, also composed of the founders of the startups Mirantes Technologies and Moxi, Carlos Daniel and Carlos Pinto, respectively, who traveled to participate in the event, was received, in a courtesy meeting, by the Angolan ambassador to Qatar, António Coelho Ramos da Cruz, on Sunday, February 25th, which congratulated the startups selected, among thousands of competitors from all over the world, to be exhibited at the event, guaranteeing the availability to continue supporting the Angolan participants throughout their stay in the Kingdom of Qatar", the statement reads.

The Web Summit Qatar 2024 started on Monday, February 26th, and runs until this Thursday, February 29th, in Doha, capital of Qatar.
