The departure of the first group, made up of 150 supporters, is scheduled for this Friday, leaving the capital at 8am, on a flight operated by TAAG.

Organized by 'Torcida' (sports arm of the company Nova Energia), supporters are scheduled to return to Angola on the same day. According to Nelson Cantos, head of the entity, speaking to Angop, the return will take place after the match.

For this trip, fans paid 800 thousand kwanzas, being entitled to a national team shirt, backpack and even a flag.

Alongside the 'Torcida' initiative, TAAG and the Banco de Comércio e Indústria (BCI) also joined forces to bring fans to the Palancas Negras. In a brief post on its Facebook page, the flag airline informs that the two companies have joined forces and will take 440 supporters to CAN.

"TAAG together with Banco BCI will transport 440 passengers to CAN", reads the publication, which adds: "Let's all support the Palancas Negras and show the world the strength of Angola".

It should also be noted that the national coach, Pedro Gonçalves, as well as the players Gelson Dala, Fredy and Tó Carneira are part of the ideal eleven of CAN's 'eighths', writes Angop.

Angola started its journey in the African championship with a draw against Algeria. Still in the group stage, in which Angola belonged to group D, the national team beat Mauritania and Burkina Faso.

Thus, they qualified for the next phase, where they met Namibia on the field, whom they beat by three balls to zero. As a result of this victory, the Palancas Negras now move on to the 'quarters', in a game to be played this Friday against Nigeria.
