Qatar newspaper highlights Angola's potential through publication of a supplement

Aspects linked to Angola's economy, culture and tourism reached the 'mouths' of the Gulf Times, a Qatari newspaper, which decided to publish a supplement about the country's aforementioned characteristics.

According to the Angolan ambassador to Qatar, António Coelho Ramos da Cruz, the newspaper also emphasized João Lourenço's leadership with regard to attracting private investment.

"Qatar's Gulf Times, which is one of the country's main newspapers, which fundamentally portrays aspects linked to Angola's culture, economy, tourism, emphasizing the leadership of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, in attracting private investments, fundamentally, here in Qatar, in the process of diversifying our economy (...) which aims to develop the country", he stated, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).

"This magazine also makes mention of the good offices of the President of the Republic in African stabilization and pacification, which led to him having the title of African Union Champion for Peace and Reconciliation", he added.

The diplomat also highlighted the relations between Angola and Qatar: "Cooperation with Qatar is developing regularly to attract investment", adding: "Recently, from a bilateral point of view, we had an Angolan delegation of businesspeople in Qatar. We are participating in the Horticultural Expo 2023, which is underway here in Qatar."

"From the point of view of bilateral relations, we have fulfilled what both countries need, at this moment, we are creating a rapprochement and also creating conditions that allow the two countries to increase business from a private and institutional point of view", said the ambassador, quoted by RNA.
