In a statement, to which VerAngola had access, the authority informs that the 13th of February this year, "referring to Carnival, is a national holiday" and, taking into account that the aforementioned date falls on a Tuesday, should "give way to the bridge, with the consequent suspension of work activity on the previous working day", namely Monday, February 12th.
Thus, according to the ministry, "an hour and a half is added to the daily period of work in the public service, between the 5th and 9th of February of this year".
According to the guardianship, it is up to those responsible for each body or administrative service to "ensure compliance" with the aforementioned measure.
"Workers who work shifts are not covered by this circular", the ministry further warns.
