According to the person responsible, cited by Angop, the construction of 2000 new homes, aiming to increase infrastructure in the Cazengo housing project, was authorized by President João Lourenço.
The governor also said that the first 212 apartments should be ready in October of this year, thus contributing to reducing the lack of housing at provincial level.
To be built more than five years ago (since 2018), the first stage of the project involves the construction of 14 buildings with four floors each, totaling 212 apartments of the T2 and T3 types, writes Angop.
The company Jonce is responsible for the centrality project, which has suffered several interruptions due to financial constraints, and the works are currently 56 percent completed.
According to Angop, the work is valued at more than 12 billion kwanzas.
It is recalled that, last weekend, the Minister of Public Works, Urban Planning and Housing, Carlos Santos, paid a visit to Cuanza Norte.
