In addition to Diamantino Azevedo, the national delegation is also made up of representatives from the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, the National Agency of Mineral Resources, as well as the Geological Institute of Angola.

Companies from the diamond subsector and the non-diamond subsector are also part of the delegation. According to a statement from Endiama, to which VerAngola had access, companies in the diamond subsector include Endiama, Sodiam, Catoca, Luele, Chitotolo, Furi and Kaixepa, while in the non-diamond subsector, AJ Silva, Geosondas, HM Granitos, Minbos and Shining Star are present.

"The concept of Angola's participation in the 2024 Mining Indaba is similar to that of previous editions and is based on the constitution of a single ministerial delegation from the mining sector and an exhibition in two stands: 'The mining potential of Angola', which brings together institutions from the ministry and several companies in the non-diamond subsector, and 'The potential of Angolan diamonds', which includes diamond companies", reads the statement.

Thus, over the three days of the event, the national delegation will promote Angola's mining potential, "present business opportunities to attract and capture foreign investment to leverage projects, transmit the Angolan experience, identify and establish partnerships in the field of mining and service provision, as well as participating in various work sessions, in order to gather knowledge and experiences about innovations and sustainable practices applicable to the national mining industry".

This Tuesday, February 6th, Angola Day is scheduled, in a business forum with the theme "Angola: mining potential and business opportunities for investors".

This, the 30th edition of the conference, will take place under the motto "Embracing the power of positive disruption: a bold new future for African mining", with more than 6500 delegates expected.
