Minister Tête António inaugurates Angolan Embassy in Qatar

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, inaugurated this Wednesday afternoon, in Doha, the facilities of the Embassy of Angola in Qatar.

The inauguration of the national diplomatic mission took place on the sidelines of the visit by the holder of the Foreign Affairs portfolio to the country's capital, Doha, where he traveled as special envoy of João Lourenço.

The minister was accompanied by António Coelho Ramos da Cruz, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Angola to the State of Qatar, having visited the Embassy facilities and received explanations on the mode and operation of the Diplomatic Mission, clarifies a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to which the VerAngola had access.

Bilateral cooperation between Angola and Qatar has "evolved significantly in recent years", with the two countries being important producers and exporters of oil and gas, areas in which the partnership currently focuses, adds the document.

Qatar has the third largest natural gas reserves in the world, as well as considerable oil reserves, with a low public debt, strong public accounts and political and social stability.

The country also has a high per capita income, good business environment, reconciliation with the Persian Gulf nations, efficient infrastructure and logistical services, diversification of industries, robust financial market and a considerable Human Development Index.
