President of the Republic receives message from Kenyan counterpart

Kenya wants to strengthen bilateral relations and promote regional integration with Angola. The claim is expressed in a message that the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, received from his Kenyan counterpart, William Ruto.

:

The message from the President of Kenya was delivered to João Lourenço, this Thursday, by the special envoy, Moses Kuria, who was received at the Presidential Palace, according to a note from CIPRA, which VerAngola had access to.

Speaking at the end of the meeting, Moses Kuria, Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kenya, informed about the content of the message and, speaking to the press, also referred that the audience "served to address the possibility of cooperation with Angola in the fields of trade, processing of mineral resources and agriculture".

Furthermore, the audience also dealt with "Kenya's commitment to stabilization in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the importance of Angola's participation in peace negotiations in the neighboring country", adds the note.

"Angola is also in this process and we think it has to remain involved in the peace negotiations in the DRC. That is why we came to drink your country's experience on this matter", said the Kenyan minister, quoted in the communiqué.
