"As part of the visit, the RNT delegation had the opportunity to see Speed-E in operation, the innovative equipment developed by REN that makes it possible to charge electric vehicles directly from the electricity transmission network. The ability to transform current of Very High Voltage into Low Voltage current with a relatively modest investment is seen as a possible solution to bring energy to populations who, despite living in the vicinity of the RNT network, do not have access to electricity", reads the statement sent by REN – Redes Energéticas Nacionais.
The group was headed by the chairman of the Board of Directors of RNT, Rui Gourgel, who, according to the same note, underlined his interest in his teams "absorbing the knowledge of experts from REN, a company that operates with such good results in a market as demanding as the European".
