Paulo Torres says Kabuscorp maintains debt despite federation ultimatum

The Portuguese coach of the Recreativo do Libolo club, Paulo Torres, told Lusa this Tuesday that the management of the Kabuscorp do Palanca club has not yet paid its debt, which has been going on since 2019.

:

In 2021, the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) punished Kabuscorp do Palanca with the payment of 29.3 million kwanzas, plus 2000 euros, to Portuguese coach Paulo Torres for breach of contract.

Due to the non-compliance, the Portuguese coach said that the matter is left to his lawyers.

"This matter is handed over to my lawyers, because Kabuscorp's default continues. It did not fulfill the agreement. On my part, there was always availability for the matter to be resolved. I tried to help Kabuscorp, but without success. It is now three years of waiting", lamented.

As for the Angolan Football Federation, without giving many details, he said that he has not been in contact, as the matter is left to his lawyers.

"I have nothing to discuss with the federation. The same issue is not with the FAF, but with Kabuscorp, but everything is left to the lawyers", he concluded.

At issue is the debt claimed by the coach, since 2019, after his departure from the team, when he had fulfilled only one of the two years of his contract.

In addition to Paulo Torres, the Angolan club must also pay six million kwanzas to Portuguese physical trainer Rui Guilherme Pires de Oliveira.

The club also has numerous debts to settle with former coaches, such as Romeu Filemon, Angolan coach, as well as former athletes.

In 2019, after intervention by FIFA, Angolan businessman Bento Kangamba's team was relegated to the third division of Angolan football, for breach of contract with the Brazilian international footballer Rivaldo, as well as with the democratic Congolese Trèsor Mputo.
