Among the services that are already operating at that hospital are pediatrics, internal medicine and gynecology and obstetrics. However, the clinical director of the hospital, Elizabeth Vilombo, said that the technicians in the surgery area are 'refreshing' their knowledge and that the operating room activity should start soon.

"Today we have the area of internal medicine, we have the area of gynecology and obstetrics", said the official, speaking to the Public Television of Angola (TPA).

"The technical staff from the surgery area went to refresh, since they haven't performed the function entrusted to them for a long time, so they are currently at the General Hospital of Benguela doing that refresh and, as soon as they return, it starts with the activity of the operating room", she added.

Elizabeth Vilombo also revealed that "an average of 90 consultations are made" outside, including internal medicine, pediatrics and gynecology.

She added that the work is being done "with great gratification" and that they are "congratulated" with the new infrastructure, which has been long overdue. "Today we have the privilege of seeing our dream come true. Therefore, patients were transferred from the old unit to this unit and we are now in an organization phase (...), we are happy with this process", she added, cited by TPA.

It is recalled that the General Hospital of Baía Farta was inaugurated on the 3rd of February by the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta.
