Hélder Lisboa, director of strategy and portfolio management at Sonangol, said that they believe they have "all the keys, all the mechanisms and all the tools" to be able to "make a decision with the proper authorizations, of course," to alienate the interests participatory.
"In summary, we believe that very soon Sonangol will be in a position to announce the winners (...) associated for each of these divestitures processes", he informed.
Speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), the official informed that the national oil company "has defined as a strategy to also associate, therefore, to motivate competitors who submit proposals to the blocks under exploration. Here we are talking more specifically about block 23 and the block 27, where yes, the companies adhered, presented proposals for the exploration blocks, presented proposals for the production blocks".
Hélder Lisboa also considers that the results are positive: "The result for Sonangol is a satisfactory result, in the sense that we can sell our blocks in exploration".
