According to the spokesman for the Luanda Provincial Police Command, Nestor Goubel, the 29-year-old fake doctor was detained on Monday afternoon by officials from the municipal command of Kilamba Kiaxi, after a complaint from the management of the hospital unit.
"He was arrested for having presented himself at the same hospital as a pediatrician and when he started to work he had some difficulties when consulting patients and immediately realized that he was not a doctor and, above all, he belonged to that hospital", explained the police officer.
Given the "evidence of a crime of false quality", said Nestor Goubel, the hospital's management immediately informed the police and the man was arrested.
"It should be noted that on the 26th of January, he had already passed through this hospital and in the same office where he made consultations at the emergency room without anyone noticing, but yesterday [Monday] when he tried for the second time, this false doctor," he concluded.
The Hospital Materno Infantil do Avô Kumbi is located in the neighborhood of Golf 1, municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi, one of nine in the capital.
