Angola Cables prepares to install new submarine cable between Fortaleza and Luanda

Angolan Angola Cables is preparing to install a new submarine cable that will connect Luanda to Fortaleza, in Brazil, with the chance of also joining on the São Paulo and Miami connection.

:

According to the Brazilian press, Angola Cables will be currently in advanced negotiations with Google and Facebook.

It is recalled that the first cable installed by the company allowed the construction of a Data Center in Praia do Futuro, in Fortaleza.

However, the demand for the service of this equipment is already at its limit. So much so that the company will even have invested 12 million reais in the expansion of the Data Center, which operates with national and foreign customers.

Angelo Gama, CEO of Angola Cables and Augusto Mota de Carvalho, chairman of the company's Board of Directors, met this Monday with the Secretary of Economic Development of Ceará, Maia Junior, announcing that, for the installation of the second cable, the negotiations will be "well underway".

According to the Brazilian newspaper Diário do Nordeste, the officials also said that there are good possibilities for a future connection of Angola Cables cables with Chinese cables, which would benefit the operation in Fortaleza.

The Angola Cables submarine cable operates in an integrated manner with Monet cable, which runs from Brazil to the United States of America and with WACS, which connects the coast of Africa to Europe.
