Bornito de Sousa talks about constitutionalism in the country at the 1st Angolan Congress of Constitutional Law

The Vice President of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa, will preside this Wednesday afternoon, in Luanda, at the opening session of the "1st Angolan Congress of Constitutional Law", where he will speak about constitutionalism in the country.

Bornito de Sousa will be the main speaker at the congress, which is an initiative of the Centro de Estudos de Direito Público e Ciências Jurídico-Políticas da Universidade Agostinho Neto (CEDP-UAN).

"2010 Constituent Legislator, professor of Political Science and Constitutional Law and co-author of "Angola - Constitutional History", Bornito de Sousa will be the main speaker at the opening session with a dissertation on "The 45 years of Constitutionalism in Angola", can be read in a statement sent to VerAngola.

Several academics and professionals from the Science of Constitutional Law will also speak at the congress, which has as its motto "45 years of Angolan Constitutionalism: Democratic Transition, Constitutional Evolution and the Exercise of Public Power", such as Fernando Oliveira, full professor at FDUAN, Rui Medeiros, full professor at the Lisbon School of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University, and Elisa Rangel Nunes, full professor at FDUAN and judge adviser to the Court of Auditors.

CEDP-UAN was created in 2010 and is dedicated to the development of research on public policy, program design, implementation, evaluation and management, with the aim of presenting recommendations to the relevant state bodies.
