The Qinghai Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced, in a statement released on Wednesday, the 14 nominees for the first edition of the award for local contractors.
The construction of the road connecting the two municipalities in Zaire province was the only one of the nominated projects that has not been implemented in China.
The award aims to encourage the Qinghai construction industry to invest in "high quality projects", namely by training qualified technicians who can contribute to the province's development, the note said.
The National Road 100 project was led by contractor Sinohydro Engineering Bureau 4 Co Ltd, with support from the parent company, the Chinese state group PowerChina International Group Ltd.
The road, opened in August 2017, has a length of 150 kilometers and nine bridges, one of them over the River Mbridge, which was built by the Portuguese company Conduril - Construtora Duriense SA, through a contract of 103.8 million euros.
The contract was inserted in the Angola-Portugal Credit Line, using export insurance from the Credit Insurance Company, guaranteed by the Portuguese Government.
