Of this group, four scholarship holders were approved with a grade equal to or higher than 17 values namely:

This year, exceptionally, Unitel extended the continuity of the scholarship to eight students who obtained final averages between 13.9 and 13, as a result of performance and improved results throughout the year, says a statement sent to VerAngola.
At the end of the academic year 2020, these fellows will have to obtain final averages of at least 14 values to maintain the scholarships.
However, 19 students lost their scholarship for presenting grades below 13 values.
Finalists Alda Marlene Muatchianga and Marina da Silva António, students of the 4th year of the courses in Informatics and Computer Sciences, respectively, at the Instituto Superior Politécnico Metropolitano de Angola, concluded the year with 16 values and were invited by Unitel to join the 'Top Students', an internship program developed by the company since 2012, to which the best university students in the country are able.
For six months, they will benefit from a paid internship, and if they reach 75 percent or higher, they will receive an employment contract.
From the provinces of Luanda, Malange and Huila, all scholarship holders benefited from the support of a Unitel mentor to guide their studies and careers, as well as a scholarship grant to cover general expenses, such as food and transportation.
“We congratulate the scholarship holders who achieved excellent results, thus demonstrating work ethic and perseverance. In addition to having good grades, we want the fellow to be a good citizen and represent the values of Unitel. The focus on studies, the search for knowledge and excellence are the most important elements in this trajectory. The learning provided by the scholarship program will provide these women with the necessary tools so that they can ensure their professional and personal development ”, says Eunice de Carvalho, Deputy Director-General for Corporate Affairs at Unitel.
The “Women for the Future” program was launched in November 2018 and provides 50 annual grants for women between 18 and 25 years of age in the areas of Telecommunications and Information Technologies.
The 50 students selected for the 2020 edition of the program will be announced in April.
