The Angolan national team won 2-0 against Libya on Friday, thus winning the bronze medal. In addition to climbing to the podium, Angola also managed to qualify for the futsal World Cup to be held in September in Lithuania.
The Angolan coach, Benvindo Inácio, said that the team has fulfilled its goal. In statements to the press, the coach stressed that the time is for celebration, but that the team is already thinking about preparing for the World Cup.
Benvindo Inácio also said that he has been waiting for a long time for an opportunity to work with the national team and that he feels very happy that the team has achieved this achievement.
Angola did not make it to the championship final after losing 4-0 against Morocco.
The championship final took place on Friday, between Morocco and Egypt. Morocco won the match by five balls to zero.
