After Benguela hosted last year's edition, it was Luanda's turn to host the second edition, which will take place on Ilha de Luanda, between the 24th and 26th of January.
André Pereira, organizer of the event, speaking to Angop, said that the purpose is to celebrate the 449th anniversary of the city of Luanda, as well as to enable the promotion and massification of this sport.
The competition, which will be hosted by Angola, will feature teams from Mozambique, Namibia, Norway and Morocco. According to Angop, in general, 16 athletes will participate, organized into eight pairs, both female and male, who will start arriving in the country on the 23rd of this month.
In this year's edition, both the men's and women's teams are looking to achieve a better place in relation to the positions achieved in the 2024 edition, in which the men's team came in third and the women's team came in second.
It is worth noting that Mozambique won the 2024 edition in the men's competition, while Morocco won in the women's competition.
