The work programme for the commission meeting included the presentation of the current status of the Draft Regulations for the Participatory Management Committee of the Historic Centre of Mbanza Congo, the Proposal for a Report on the Implementation of the Recommendations of the World Cultural Heritage Committee on Mbanza Congo and the Current Status of the Cultural Heritage of Namibe Province.
Created by Presidential Order No. 25/18 of 5 March and coordinated by the Vice-President, the National Multisectoral Commission for the Safeguarding of World Cultural Heritage is responsible for promoting the implementation of conservation programmes and the participatory management of cultural heritage, "taking into account the need to adopt special measures to monitor national cultural heritage of exceptional universal value", the Government states.
