The Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Angola was received in audience by the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, in the city of Maputo.
On the occasion, the minister reiterated Angola's commitment to maintaining and strengthening historical ties of cooperation and expressed, on the other hand, Angola's willingness to work towards strengthening bilateral relations. Adão de Almeida expressed solidarity with Mozambique in the face of post-electoral tension and hoped for a peaceful transition process in the "sister country".
The Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic was accompanied, at the inauguration ceremony, by a short delegation comprising the ambassador of the Republic of Angola to the Republic of Mozambique, José João Manuel, and staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX).
