According to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic, to which VerAngola had access, the lunch was the last act of Obiang Nguema's official visit to the country.
"As the final act of his official visit to Angola, the President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, participated in a lunch in his honor, offered by the President of the Republic of Angola," the note reads.
In addition to the two Presidents, the lunch was also attended by the First Ladies of Angola and Equatorial Guinea.
"The first ladies of Angola and Equatorial Guinea also attended the lunch, which took place in the Noble Hall of the Presidential Palace," the statement said.
It should be recalled that, within the scope of the visit of the President of Equatorial Guinea to Angola, the two countries signed agreements in the fields of agriculture, livestock and forestry, linguistic and administrative training for Equatorial Guinean officials and on aeronautical technical cooperation.
