With a capacity estimated at 90 thousand units per month, the aforementioned enterprise provided eight direct jobs for young people in the region, and will not only make personalized boxes available to the market, as well as a "consultancy service" for agents in the fishing industry, said the Provincial Government of Namibe, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
"HolfPesca & Navegadores makes available to the market, in addition to personalized packaging, a consultancy service for fishing operators and created eight direct jobs for local young people", the note reads.
Speaking on the occasion, Abel Capitango said that the aforementioned unit will make available to "operators in the fishing sector a vital service for fish processing that has been missing for a long time".
According to the deputy provincial governor, this initiative will serve "artisan fishing operators", in order to enable them to reach levels of organization that "facilitate their eligibility" for credit lines.
"This initiative will fundamentally serve artisanal fishing operators, allowing them to reach levels of organization that facilitate their eligibility for the various credit lines available," he said, quoted in the statement.
Abel Capitango also said that the fact of having this product available to operators reinforces the production chain, as well as stimulating local production: "The fact that we have this product here at the disposal of operators reinforces the production chain and encourages us to have it locally sustainable and sufficient production, which meets the needs of the populations", he pointed out, cited by Angop.
In turn, Hofinei Isaías, general director of HolfPesca & Navegadores, spoke about the investment made in the industrial unit. According to the person responsible, also cited by Angop, the project cost more than 40 million kwanzas.
