According to a Government statement, to which VerAngola had access, the exhortation was made last Monday, in a meeting with the Association of Modern Commerce and Distribution Companies of Angola (ECODIMA) and which was guided by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano.

The meeting served to "listen to the main concerns of the business class", regarding "economic regulation, taxation and other issues related to public services, as well as encouraging national production and consumption".

At the meeting, the statement adds, "the Executive's commitment was made to pay greater attention to the issue of credit insurance, as an instrument to facilitate production and consumption distribution operations."

The two parties – Economic Team of the Economic Commission of the Council of Ministers and ECODIMA – consider the conversation to be fruitful, considering the "suggested solutions and the responses presented".

Furthermore, the participants also expressed the fact that it was necessary to continue holding meetings, as this is a field of "extreme importance" in terms of promoting national production.

"The meeting took place three days after another between the same Economic Team and the Angola Agro-Livestock Association (AAPA), where they analyzed proposals for achieving food self-sufficiency and promoting exports and the manufacturing industry", also states the statement.
