The 28-year-old athlete did not fail to express his gratitude for being one of those chosen by Portuguese coach Pedro Gonçalves for the African Cup of Nations (CAN2023), which takes place in Côte d'Ivoire.
"I am leaving the team's working group, due to injury I will have to return to my club, as I will have to be observed by them there. Thank you very much for your support and don't stop supporting our team", he said.
The national football team faces Namibia, on Saturday, in the round of 16 of the CAN, after finishing leader of Group D, with seven points, in the group stage.
