Angola meets Bahrain counterpart in the last preparation game for CAN 2023

Angola's preparation for the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2023) – taking place between January 13th and February 11th in Côte d'Ivoire – is coming to an end, with the national football team playing its last match of preparation before the African competition this Wednesday (10 January) against the Bahrain counterpart.

In the match, which will take place in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, starting at 6pm local time (3pm in Angola), the national team will already include Mabululu.

According to Angop, this meeting is the first between the Angolan team and the Bahrain team, which is preparing for the Asian championship.

It should be noted that Angola played, last Saturday, a pre-CAN friendly game against the Democratic Republic of Congo, with whom they drew 0-0.

According to a note from the Angolan Football Federation, to which VerAngola had access, after this Wednesday's game, the national team will head to Bouaké to participate in the African competition.

"Until the end of the pre-competition stage, we still have to play with the Bahrain team, on the 10th, traveling the next day to the competition stage, in Bouaké, headquarters of Group D", the note reads.

According to the federation, the national team's opponents "in the preliminary round will be Algeria, Burkina Faso and Mauritania".
