At the ceremony where João Lourenço swears in the new governor – which took place in the Noble Hall of the Presidential Palace – were also present the minister of Territorial Administration, the governor of the province of Luanda, secretaries of the President of the Republic, as well as ministers of State, refers a statement from CIPRA, to which VerAngola had access.

On the occasion, the head of state said they had decided to "bet on a young team" and that they believe in their capabilities.

"We decided to invest in a young team, who still has a long way to go, a long way to go. We believe in their capabilities," he said.

Quoted in the note, the President of the Republic also considered that the "challenge is great", but they are "confident": "The challenge is great. It is a first experience in this position, but we are confident that it will help us to develop that part of the our national territory, which has good people and great potential".

"All we have to say at this moment is to wish you success in carrying out this new mission", added João Lourenço.

It should be noted that João Diogo Gaspar will replace Pedro Maquita Armando Júlia, dismissed by the President "for convenience of service".
