Angola and Japan discuss deepening relations

Angola and Japan discussed, this Thursday, in Luanda, the deepening of bilateral and multilateral relations.

:

According to a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which VerAngola had access to, in a meeting between Domingos Custódio Vieira Lopes, Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, and Saida Shinichi, Director General of the Department of African Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, matters "of common interest in the scope of strengthening cooperation between Angola and Japan" were reviewed.

In the multilateral area, the "peace and security situation in the Great Lakes region, and the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine" was discussed.

The note also adds that the audience also served for the two parties "to talk about exchanges of visits at the highest level whether from Luanda to Tokyo and vice versa".

It should be noted that the bilateral collaboration between the two countries began in 1988, "with emergency aid through the United Nations International Children's Fund (UNICEF)", says the statement.
