The official pointed out 2024 as the deadline for starting the execution of the project. Speaking at the end of a meeting with the Secretary of State for Agriculture and Livestock, João Cunha, the president of the multinational added that the project should be installed in the capital or in Benguela, clarifying that studies are being carried out to determine the site: "Studies are being developed to define the location", he said, quoted by Angop.
Having expressed full financial availability for the undertaking, the official also made it known that throughout this year the bureaucratic elements, transfer and legalization of land will be started for later transporting the equipment, writes Angop.
According to Angop, the project will be implemented in a general perimeter of 25 hectares, spread over 24 hectares on land, of which 20 hectares will take place along the sea and river coast for the implementation of 14 greenhouse tanks of 10 thousand square meters for the creation of fish and the other four hectares will be used to cultivate cereals intended to produce proteins and feed for animals as well as for food consumption while the last hectare will be on the high seas to raise fish species in captivity.
In addition, Sharon Amar, quoted by Angop, clarified that the project will cover agricultural, fish and biosalt production, as well as agro-food training and research centers and even the tourist element.
The Secretary of State, also quoted by Angop, referred that the Government will provide the necessary help for the execution of the project, with the purpose of offering Angola sustainable fishing.
For this Tuesday, the agenda of the delegation of American businessmen, according to Angop, foresees a visit to Benguela, given that the initiative could be installed in that province or in the capital.
