According to the second municipal commander of the Civil Protection and Fire Services, Manuel Kassua, 10 fishermen were traveling on the boat, which sank due to strong calema (giant waves), four of whom swam to the coast with the help of drums.
Manuel Kassua said that the fishermen are residents of Angola, and that rescue teams are currently carrying out the search.
"The fact must have occurred around 8 pm on the 20th [Thursday], when they were more than 30 miles away in the city of Soyo on the high seas and came across strong kalema, which shook the artisanal vessel. , which had ten citizens on board, destined for fishing, of which four were saved and six are still missing", said the official in statements to Angolan public radio.
