Covid-19: Angola with 681 new cases, no deaths and 1636 recoveries in the last 24 hours

Angola recorded, in the last 24 hours, 681 new cases, no deaths and 1636 recoveries, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health, released this Monday.

The new cases were reported in the provinces of Luanda (364), Bengo (111), Cuanza Sul (109), Cabinda (30), Malanje (21), Huambo (14), Namibe (12), Zaire (11), Lunda Norte (3), Cuanza Norte (2), Bié (1), Huíla (1), Lunda Sul (1) and Moxico (1).

The new infections occurred in patients aged between nine months and 79 years, 406 males and 275 females.

In the same period, no deaths were recorded.

According to the bulletin, 1636 recoveries were reported, of which 458 in Luanda, 287 in Cabinda, 223 in Cuanza Norte, 129 in Cuanza Sul, 117 in Zaire, 115 in Lunda Norte, 111 in Moxico, 48 in Bié, 41 in Huambo, 32 in Uíge, 26 in Namibe, 24 in Lunda Sul, 22 in Huila and three in Benguela.

The laboratories processed, in the same period, 8621 samples by RT-PCR with a daily positivity rate of 7.9 percent.

With the latest data, the country has a total of 97,263 cases, of which 6517 are active, 1888 have died and 88,858 have recovered.
