Government extends until 2026 first oil survey in three areas of Block 32

The information is contained in the communiqué issued by the 12th ordinary session of the Council of Ministers, held this Wednesday in Luanda, guided by President João Lourenço.

The Colorau, Manjericão and Cola development areas of Block 32 are at stake, and the objective of this extension, until December 31, 2026, is for the contractor group to carry out the technical optimization study block, of development works, which will significantly reduce geological costs and risks, as well as starting the oil production activity in a more sustainable way.

Block 32, with a total area of ​​5.89 square kilometers, is located in the Lower Congo maritime basin, limited to the north by Block 31, to the south by Block 33, to the east by Blocks 16 and 17 and to the west by Block 48.

The contractor group is made up of Total Energy (30 percent), as operator of the block, Sonangol P&P (30 percent), SSI (20 percent), Esso (15 percent) and Galp (5 percent).

The Council of Ministers also approved the legal regime applicable to fees due for services provided by the National Advertising Directorate of the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, namely for the registration, issuance and renewal of certificates for the exercise of advertising activity.

At the meeting, the regime applicable to fees charged for services provided by the National School for the Training of Social Service Technicians (Enfotss) was also approved, with a view to strengthening self-sustainability and maintaining the institutions.

A presidential decree creating the Integrated Centers for Child and Adolescent Care (CIACA) was approved by the Council of Ministers, as were its regulations.

The communiqué stresses that the institution's objective is to guarantee, in articulation with the component judicial body in terms of juvenile justice, the care and monitoring of children and adolescents, "in an integrated and harmonious way, with a view to their reintegration, when in conflict with the law or in contact with the justice system.

In the field of social action, the Social Worker Career Regime was also approved, a diploma that aims to adapt the career to the legislation in force. of social action and love.

On foreign policy, the executive considered for submission to the National Assembly the draft resolution approving for ratification the accession of Angola to the Trade Insurance Agency in Africa, and also approved a set of four agreements between the Government and the Republic of Congo, in in the field of transport, and the Republic of Seychelles on cooperation and the creation of a bilateral commission.
