Remittances from emigrants in Angola rise 2.7 percent in November

Remittances from Portuguese emigrants in Angola rose 2.7 percent to 22.9 million euros in November, while Angolans working in Portugal sent 800,000 euros, 23 percent more than in November 2020, according to the report. Portugal's bank.

According to data from the Bank of Portugal, Angolans working in Portugal sent 800 thousand euros to their country, 23 percent more than the 650 thousand euros sent in November 2020.

Conversely, Portuguese people working in Angola sent 22.9 million euros, which represents an increase of 2.7 percent compared to the 22.3 million euros sent in November 2020.

As usual, Angola's values ​​represent the vast majority of the total value of emigrants in Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP).

Thus, the Portuguese in the PALOP sent 23.5 million euros in November last year, which represents an increase of 2.4 percent compared to the 22.9 million euros sent in November 2020.

Globally, remittances from Portuguese emigrants rose 1.67 percent to €299.1 million in November, while foreigners working in Portugal sent another 6.9 percent that month, representing 46.1 million euros, according to the Bank of Portugal.

According to data from the Bank of Portugal, Portuguese emigrants sent 299.14 million euros in November last year, which represents an increase of 1.67 percent compared to the 294.2 million euros sent in November 2020.

Conversely, foreigners working in Portugal sent 46.17 million euros to their countries of origin, representing an increase of 6.9 percent compared to the 43.19 million sent in the same month of 2020.

Portuguese emigrants in Switzerland sent 88.05 million euros in November, 13 percent above the 77.37 million sent in November 2020, while Portuguese emigrants in France sent 81.56 million euros, 6.1 percent less than the 86.92 million euros sent in November 2020.

Looking at the period from January to November, Portuguese emigrants have already sent 3,305.9 million euros, which represents a slight increase of 0.8 percent compared to the 3,277.1 million euros sent between January and November 2020.
