BDA opens the first of seven new regional branches in Huambo

The Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Manuel Nunes Júnior, is in the city of Huambo where this morning the first regional agency of the Angolan Development Bank (BDA) was inaugurated.

:

The Huambo branch – the first outside Luanda – will also meet the needs of promoters in and around Bié provinces, and will be equipped to provide the various services previously available only at the central branch in the capital.

Thus, and according to a statement from the Ministry of Economy to which VerAngola had access, credit requests from all over the country, which until then were analyzed in Luanda, will now be made in the various regional agencies, allowing for cost reduction.

In addition, businesspeople will no longer need to travel to Luanda, and the analysis of funding requests should also be speeded up.

Also present was the Minister of Economy and Planning, Mário João, who said that this was the inauguration of the first of the bank's seven regional branches. In the short term, four new regional agencies will be opened, located in the provinces of Uíge, Benguela, Lunda Sul and Huíla.

According to the Minister of Economy, the choice of Huambo for the first opening is due to the fact that this province leads the ranking of indicators of national production of cereals, vegetables and oilseeds, and also of horticultural production.
