The 27-year-old grantee said he was not expecting to receive this distinction, showing himself to be surprised, but also very proud, says Angop.

"We were many students of various nationalities. I am surprised, and I advise young Angolans to dedicate themselves without being intimidated," said the young man.

Daniel Filipe Dongo graduated in oil engineering at the Faculty of Sciences of Agostinho Neto University when he was 23. According to TPA, the Angolan had 17 figures in his thesis, having received a grant from the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas to do a master's degree in the United Kingdom.

The Angolan, who lives in the district of Sapú in Luanda, went to the United Kingdom in 2018. Two years later, Daniel Dongo completed his master's degree with 80 percent of his thesis, having been recognized by the university for his work.

In statements to TPA, the student who has returned to Angola, revealed that when he arrived in his country he almost cried at the sight of his family. "It was more than 10 months without seeing them and thank God, I'm very well. I had a great family comfort after the two weeks I was in home quarantine and I was also very well cherished by the Ministry of Oil and Gas Mineral Resources, they filled me with pride and satisfaction of duty fulfilled," he said.
