Secret services put “fake proof” on Isabel dos Santos computers in Portugal, accuses businesswoman

The daughter of former president Jose Eduardo dos Santos directly accuses Angolan security services, saying that they "forged and falsified" evidence against themselves on their companies' computers in Portugal.

:

The accusation was made in an interview given by Isabel dos Santos to the Financial Times newspaper. It is believed that the businesswoman is a refugee in an African country, given the prosecution of the court and the preventive seizure of her assets and accounts.

The businesswoman said she was willing to defend herself in the Angolan courts, despite reinforcing her lack of confidence in the national judicial system. She also considered recent events as an attempt to dismantle her business while “erasing the legacy” of his father's 38-year rule.

Not giving details of the evidence that she considers to have been “planted” on his companies' computers in Portugal - where he is a shareholder of Galp, Nos, Eurobic and Efacec - Isabel dos Santos accuses hackers at the service of the Angolan secret of having forged evidence that compromises her before the Portuguese justice, where at this moment no process is taking place against her.

She also complained of being the subject of a "politically motivated witch hunt", stating that "everyone" in the family "knows that the President is in a war against the former President".

Discarding the title of "Princess of Angola" that is often attributed to her by the press, she ended by saying that she does not know "many princesses who get out of bed and build supermarkets". “It's important to realize that I've been working on this for over two decades; I didn't become the main Angolan businesswoman overnight”, said Isabel dos Santos.
