‘Palancas Negras’ beat Lesotho and are closer to qualifying for CHAN

The national football team moved closer to qualifying for the African Cup of Nations (CHAN), after beating Lesotho, last Saturday, in the first leg of the last round of access to the competition.

The match, played on the lawn of the Moses Mabhida Stadium, in Durban, South Africa, was 2-0 in favor of Angola.

According to the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), the game went into halftime with the score reading 2-0, in favor of the 'Palancas Negras', a result that remained unchanged until the end of the match.

The team's goals were scored by Megue and Kaporal.

With this victory, the 'Palancas Negras' are closer to CHAN and have an advantage for the return, where the two teams will meet again next Saturday, in Luanda, at the 11 de Novembro stadium.

Currently, the attention of the 'Palancas Negras' is focused on preparing for the second leg.

"After victory against Lesotho in the first leg of the last round of access to CHAN, the national team returns to work this Sunday", says the federation, in a note, to which VerAngola had access, adding that Pedro Gonçalves' commands began to preparation this Sunday, at the Angola Football Academy.
