According to the report of the last 24 hours by the National Civil Protection and Fire Service, four people from the same family died in Bié, hit by an electrical discharge, and the fifth person died in Cuanza Norte.
As for the missing, two children, aged 4 and 7, are missing in Cuanza Norte, swept away by the force of the waters, and a third person, in Luanda, when helping people cross a drainage ditch.
The injured are from the province of Huambo, as a result of the collapse of a house.
The rains also caused flooding, destruction and collapse of houses, social infrastructure, and fallen trees, leaving several main, secondary and tertiary roads impassable.
In the same period, moderate rains were recorded, without human or material damage, in the provinces of Benguela, Uíje, Lunda Norte, Zaire, Cuando Cubango and Malanje.
The province of Luanda recorded rain throughout its territory, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms, which resulted in landslides, property damage and flooding.
The data indicates a total of 576 people affected by floods, a hundred houses damaged, with damage to power stations, churches, progression of ravines, flooding of roads, which affect the movement of people and goods, as well as the landslide.
