The Ministry of Health reported, in a statement to which VerAngola had access, that this company, "a leader in the production of generic medicines, expresses its willingness to work with the Angolan Government to assess investment conditions and consequently establish the first operation on the African continent".
Therefore, to make this aspiration a reality, Sílvia Lutucuta led a delegation that, between the 9th and 11th of this month, carried out a working visit to Brazil.
Among the objectives of the Angolan delegation were "to verify in loco the potential of this company and to address the transfer of technology, know-how, as well as the creation of opportunities for investment and the establishment of the pharmaceutical industry in Angola in the short term", the note states.
The delegation's agenda, made up of senior staff from CECOMA, ARMED and the Institute of Postgraduate Studies in Health Sciences, also included "taking advantage of the opportunity to provide information on the country's potential, its great openness to private investment and the appreciation of the cross-border market, especially in the Lobito Corridor".
It should be noted that this visit "follows the audience granted by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, on the sidelines of the G20, to the Board of Directors of the company EMS, which has a large market on four continents", the statement also states.
