"Inflation in Angola will continue to fall in 2025, thanks to the favorable base effect and the absence of pressure from international oil prices, but the weakening of the Angolan currency in the second half of 2024, to more than 900 kwanzas per dollar, will slow down the rate of fall in inflation next year", write the analysts at this British consultancy.

In a comment on the most recent inflation figures in Angola, sent to clients and to which Lusa had access, Oxford Economics writes that "the average exchange rate of the Angolan currency is expected to worsen to 927.4 kwanzas per dollar in 2025, which will keep inflation under pressure".

Inflation in Angola stood at 28.41 percent in November, maintaining the deceleration in annual terms for the fourth consecutive month, but increased again in monthly terms with a variation of 1.61 percent, an increase of 0.06 percentage points.

According to the Quick Information Sheet (FIR) of the National Consumer Price Index (IPCN), released by the National Statistics Institute, the "health" class was the one that contributed most to the monthly price increase, with a variation of 2.43 percent.

The annual variation was 28.41 percent, an increase of 10.22 percentage points compared to that observed in November 2023, but maintaining the deceleration trend compared to the 29.17 percent recorded in October.
