According to a statement from CIPRA, to which VerAngola had access, the bank has in its sights the areas of infrastructure, support for small and medium-sized companies, as well as financial inclusion.
"The president of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe, expressed interest in creating partnerships with Angola in the areas of infrastructure, support for small and medium-sized companies and financial inclusion", the note reads.
The head of Access Bank, adds the statement, is in Angola "to create partnerships with the Government".
According to Herbert Wigwe, the Nigerian bank that belongs to the Access Bank Group, is already in Angola, intending to "continue to contribute to the country's development, supporting GDP growth, through the financing of banking correspondence services".
On the occasion, he added that this visit aimed to share the "vision of support for African countries". "This visit aims to share our vision of support for African countries, as we have done in all the other countries we have visited", said the official, quoted in the statement.
The president of Access Bank said that, currently, they are organizing several commercial activities "which have to do with increasing refined products and the institutional capacity of the business group to reinforce the countries' internal production".
He also informed that one team will meet "with ministers and those responsible for public companies, while another is already working with the private sector, helping to explore ways to strengthen the economy" in Angola through lines of credit.
