Fabrimetal invests 20 million kwanzas in the rehabilitation of a school in Viana

Fabrimetal invested 20 million kwanzas in the partial rehabilitation of school number 5107 in the Capalanca neighborhood, in the municipality of Viana.

:

"Fabrimetal, as part of its social responsibility policies, recently carried out in Luanda the partial rehabilitation of school number 5107 in the Capalanca district, in the municipality of Viana," can be read in a statement sent to VerAngola.

The note also reveals "with the direct involvement of the company's employees and the local community" it was possible to rehabilitate the school, which had been degraded. Civil construction, locksmith's shop, carpentry" works were carried out and school furniture was supplied.

The work was financed 100 per cent by Fabrimetal "to the value of about 20 million kwanzas," the statement states.

In addition, the company has also supplied water to the school weekly through the "company cistern in order to alleviate the lack of it".

Yuri Rainho, Fabrimetal's human resources director, considered this initiative "a way to support" the country's education.

"Both students and teachers deserve the best to give the best of themselves. It was very comforting to know that the Viana Administration recognized the gesture, as well as the Neighborhood Parents Commission and the school's own Board. But our greatest recognition is to know that the students will have better conditions", he added.

Fabrimetal is a company under Angolan law, with foreign capital, constituted under the private investment law, with headquarters in the Industrial Pole of Viana. It has been the market leader in steel production for over 10 years, and is also present in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Mali and Senegal.
