AAC "aims to promote scientific excellence, public awareness of the importance of science and sustainable development based on science", according to a statement signed by the coordinator of the installation commission, Emanuel Catumbela.
AAC is a consultative and participatory body in the execution of plans and actions to achieve the goals of the program for improving the quality of higher education and scientific research of the national development plan 2018-2022 and for the participation of scientists and the science developed in Angola within the framework of sustainable development objectives.
The solemn session of the proclamation of the Angolan Academy of Sciences is scheduled for 10:00 am next Friday.
