Edite Ten Jua was received in audience by the Head of State, João Lourenço, having, in statements to the press, at the end of the meeting, considered "excellent" the relations between the two countries.
In the occasion, the minister delivered to João Lourenço a message from the San Tomean President, Evaristo Carvalho.
A final communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Relations about the end of the two-day visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Communities of Sao Tome and Principe, Edite Ten Jua, states that the two countries reaffirmed their desire to continue strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation.
The parties agreed on the need to strengthen and intensify cooperation in the areas of defense and internal order, justice, finance, air and maritime transport, mineral resources and oil, tourism, fisheries and sea, investment promotion, trade, media, among others.
Edite Ten Jua invited her Angolan counterpart, Téte António, to visit the San Tomean archipelago, on a date to be settled by diplomatic means, an invitation already accepted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During her two-day stay in Luanda, Edite Tem Jua had as the highest point of her visit the signing of the agreement of reciprocal exemption of visas in diplomatic, service and ordinary passports, which allows citizens of both countries to travel without visas between Angola and Sao Tome.
