The deadline for submitting proposals was initially until December 7, 2021, but potential bidders must now submit their proposals by 3:00 pm on January 21, 2022.
In a statement made public this Friday, the Ministry of Transport explains that the preparation of proposals for this tender procedure "is complex and requires compliance with the technical requirements set out in the tender parts".
"Due to the characteristics, volume and complexity of the services that are the object of the contract to be signed, as defined in a presidential decree that approves the Bases for the Concession of Rail Services and the Support Logistics of the Lobito Corridor and established in the specifications", the statement reads.
The ministerial entity also states that the public opening of the proposals will be held on January 31, 2022.

The Ministry of Transport decided to extend by 45 days the deadline for submitting proposals to the public tender for the concession of railway support services on the Lobito corridor, as this is a “complex” tender procedure.
