According to the spokesperson for the event, Miranda Kiala, taking into account "the historical relations that have always existed between Angola and the Soviet Union, the installing commission of the Angola-Russia Chamber of Commerce thought it best to institutionalize" this chamber.
Speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), the official said that this platform aims to "increase or promote trade relations between Angola and Russia with the aim of contributing to a better mutual knowledge of the economic reality of both countries and others side to encourage private initiative and free competition obeying standards of ethical business conduct for a welfare and social climate between the two states".
He also stated that this chamber will open the door to investments not only in Angola but also in other countries on the continent and stimulate employment.
"The Angola-Russia Chamber of Commerce will be an open door for the Russian Federation's investments not only in Angola but in Africa in general, taking into account the strategic position that Angola occupies, both in SADC and in the Great Lakes , contributing to the improvement of conditions for our populations and, on the other hand, promoting employment because these businessmen, when they are here, will have the possibility of installing large-scale factories," he said.
