Petro de Luanda loses to Sagrada Esperança and gives up Girabola's leadership

Petro de Luanda, owned by Alexandre Santos, lost on Saturday the leadership of the national football championship, as a result of a 2-1 defeat at Sagrada Esperança, in the 11th round.

Depú, twice, in the 46th and 87th minutes, scored the goals of the Angolan champions and reinforced the leadership of the best scorers, with 14 goals. On the visitors' side, Yano scored in the 49th minute.

With this defeat, Petro de Luanda lost its unbeaten run at Girabola and dropped to second place, with 29 points, the same as Sagrada Esperança, which is the new leader.

In the other match, Paulo Torres' Recreativo do Libolo lost, at home, against Kabuscorp do Palanca by 2-1, after goals by Kuxixima, twice, in the 24th and 70th minutes, and Liliano, in the 61st minute , in favor of Libolo.

Desportivo da Huila and Desportivo da Lunda Sul drew 1-1, in Huila province. Freddy, at five minutes, opened the scoring, which would later be equalized, at 85, by Gláucio.

Cuando Cubango FC beat Progresso do Sambizanga, in Luanda, by 2-1, with goals from Massadila, in the 40th minute, and Mussa, five minutes later. Bebo, at 85, scored Progresso's goal of honor.

On Sunday, 1º de Agosto beat Bravos do Maquis by 2-1, in Moxico province, and reinforced their third place in the football championship, with 23 points. Dagó, at 26 minutes, opened the scoring, and Vingumba, at 90+1, extended the advantage, reduced two minutes later, to 90+3, by Wiwi.

Académica do Lobito defeated Sporting de Benguela 2-1, in Benguela province. Cabila, at 37 minutes, scored the first for Académica, who decided the game at 87, through Valdez, after Adi Boyó, having tied the game, at 57.

Wiliete de Benguela and Recreativo da Caála drew 1-1, also in the province of Benguela. Zico, at 53 minutes, scored for Recreativo da Caála, and, five minutes later, Venâncio equalized the match.

Sporting de Cabinda and Interclube also drew 1-1, in Cabinda province. Kadima, in the 18th minute, scored for Sporting de Cabinda, while Catraio, in the 62nd minute, equalized the match.

Depú, from Sagrada Esperança, leads the list of top scorers, with 14 goals, followed by Tiago Azulão, from Petro de Lunda, with seven, and Jiresse, from Recreativo do Libolo, with six.
