Interclub eliminated from the African Confederation Cup

Interclube was excluded this Sunday from the last round of access to the group stage of the African Confederation Cup in football, after defeat by 2-3 against Asec Mimosa, from Côte d'Ivoire, in Luanda.

The two goals scored by Mano Calesso were not enough to cancel out the 0-2 deficit in Abidjan, in the first leg, aggravated by the three scored by the Ivorians.
Angolan football, once again, is without any representative in the second most important competition on the African continent, at club level.

Sagrada Esperança, national champion, and Petro de Luanda, of Alexandre Santos, vice-champion, have already qualified for the group stage of the African Champions League, and are waiting for the draw.
